Hanne Rømer is a composer, arranger, conductor and multi instrumentalist: singer, saxophone player, guitarist and pianist and also writer.

Education: The Royal Danish academy of Music, The Music Science Department at the University of Copenhagen, the CAP-Program (Composing and Arranging Program) at the Dick Grove School of Music in Los Angeles.

Hanne Roemer offers guest conducting of choirs, ensembles and big bands including performances of her own (and other composers’) music in connection with workshops and festivals, both here and abroad.

Over the years, Hanne has kept her skills alive by attending courses and workshops including teachers such as: Thad Jones, Ernie Wilkins, Bob Brookmeyer, Bill Holman, Kenny Werner, Bob Rockwell, Lars Jansson, Palle Mikkelborg, John Tchicai, Bo Holten, Judy Niemac, Jo Estill, Cathrine Sadolin, Lezcek Zadlo, Sylvia Droste and Marie Bergman among others.

Hanne Roemer has worked as a teacher at music schools, colleges and conservatories – she composes music for choir, big band, symphony Orchestra and various ensembles.  Hanne Roemer has been a part of the teaching team at Hoptrup Efterskole from August 2006- 2018. She also taught English and German in primary school.

Since 2015 she has attended different writing courses to pursue a late career as a novelist as well as a writer of poems.

Her first book of poems was published in November 2018, under the Danish title: Erotiske anslag – sommeren 2018.         in English: Erotic touch – summer 2018.
